ABOUT S.H.A

After spendIng time in Nashville working on their new album, SIX60 realised it felt so similar to home. The authentic nature, storytelling and power to bring people together that roots and country music have was so evident. As a band SIX60 knew it was time for New Zealand to have its first country and roots festival - And Sweet Home Aotearoa was born

  • Our home is the legendary Matakana Country Park, a 50 acre private estate just under an hour from Auckland CBD.

  • Gates open at 1pm with our first act kicking off at 1:10! Get in early, grab a bite to eat and perch up for an unforgettable afternoon of Country and Roots at the pristine Matakana Country Park.

  • No, However due to our licensing fans under 18 must attend the event with your parent or legal guardian. If you arrive without em, we will not be able to let you in.

  • YES! We have a range of transport options available for the event including a network of buses leaving from Omaha, Leigh, Auckland CBD, Albany, Mangawhai, Warkworth & Snells Beach you can find out more specific information and purchase your bus passes HERE.

  • There will be parking options available at Sweet Home Aotearoa 2026 at Gate A Matakana Country Park

  • Sweet Home Aotearoa is proud to host a curated lineup of country and roots artists from across the planet including Six60, YelaWolf, Tash Sultana and Tami Neilson.

TRANSPORT

We are running return busses from the below locations to simplify your life on the day. 

Make sure you buy your bus pass to lock in a seat.

    • Return from Victoria Park (Fanshawe St)

    • All buses depart at 12pm

    • PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY AS THERE ARE NO LATER BUS RUNS FROM THIS LOCATION

    • ALL BUSES LOAD FOR DEPARTURE APPROX 11PM

    • Return from Mangawhai iSite

    • All buses depart at 12pm

  • When your ticket is scanned at your bus stop on the way to the venue, you will receive a stamp which will allow you to board the bus, this stamp will be your return ticket.

    If you miss your bus or have alternative arrangements to get to the festival, you can collect your stamp from the merchandise stand once you make your way to Sweet Home Aotearoa. 

    Auckland & Mangawhai buses will both be departing at approx 12pm. THERE WILL BE NO FURTHER TRIPS. Please Arrive early for your bus. 

    All bus departures from Matakana Country Park begin approx 11pm

    Please be patient boarding buses back home, buses will be loaded from where you are dropped off, and depart based on demand.

    You will require the stamp (issued when you board the bus or at the merch stand) to board the return busses home. 

    Bus terms and conditions 

    We have a ZERO intoxication and aggression policy for bus riders.

    If you are deemed to be intoxicated by or act aggressive toward any our staff, or other riders, you will not be permitted to board a bus or enter the festival. 

    We have a ZERO ALCOHOL/DRUGS policy for bus riders. If you are found to be trying to enter a bus with Alcohol/Drugs, or are found to have alcohol/drugs on a bus, you will be ejected from the bus and refused entry to the festival.

    Auckland & Mangawhai buses will both be departing at approx 12pm. If you miss this departure time, there will be no further trips. Please arrive early for your bus. Please be patient and understanding with our bus staff - they can't wait to get to the festival either!
